SAN DIEGO, January - Addie's Personal Training Studio, boutique-style fitness studios located in Pacific Beach announced today that their ninth annual Remodel Your Body™ Challenge (RYB) will benefit the Autism Tree Project Foundation 2nd year in a row.

The Remodel Your Body™ Challenge is an eight week fitness challenge open to San Diego residents looking to get in shape for a great cause. The goal is to lose the most relative body fat in eight weeks. There is a $100 entry fee for each challenger. Each participant will receive seven 50 minute boot camp workouts Addie's Studio in Pacific Beach.

This year is our second year including the "Move your Body for Kids".  This class is the same time and same place but just for kid's ages 5 – 12 years of age. Addie believes that children need to know how important exercise is and to have fun doing it.

RYB has raised over $20,000 in the last year alone for Autism. Addie's first-born daughter was diagnosed with Autism in 2006 at age 2 "For parents, a diagnosis of Autism requires a fast learning curve," said Addie Merrill, "we have been incredibly impressed with the support services through ATPF and wanted to leverage our experience in community outreach to benefit this impressive organization."

About ATPF

The Autism Tree Project Foundation was founded in 2003 to promote autism education and provide early intervention programs in the California community. Our main programs are:

  • Preschool Screening Program. Screenings of students in the preschool setting to identify children at risk for autism due to developmental delays.
  • Mentor Program. A quarterly program that pairs families new to the autism diagnosis with a "Mentor" to support and guide the family as well as assist in identifying autism-related resources in the community.

About AutismFITT Club™

Addie's first daughter Reese was born in 2004 and diagnosed with autism in 2006. Since then Addie started researching autism programs for exercise because the physical therapy in Reese's daily life was just not cutting it. "I was so disappointed when I couldn't find any outlets for children as they grew into their adolescent and their teen years. Just 30 minutes a week with a physical therapist is not enough. It didn't sit well with me and I wanted to make a difference for families and their loved ones."

Addie's AutismFITT Club™ provides a foundation for movement, coordination, balance, and motor development in a safe and closely monitored environment for individuals with autism. Your son or daughter can experience structured and fun exercises that will help them feel better about themselves and enable them to be more physically independent.

AutismFITT Club™ is a systematic exercise program for individuals with autism. We understand the conundrum parents face when it comes to helping their child make strides in their coordination and finer motor functions. AutismFITT Club™ strives to keep things simple while trying to teach complex movements, behaviors, and exercises to allow children to function with more "normalcy."
