Eat This, NOT That 101

It seems pretty obvious that eating a baked potato without all of the "fix-ins" is a lot healthier than if it was loaded with butter, cheese, sour cream, bacon bits and so on. But did you know that by swapping out a baked potato with a baked sweet potato, you can actually prevent your body from storing all of the unused starches you get from the regular white potato? Since stored energy equals FAT, this small substitution goes a long way in either preventing weight gain or helping you lower your body fat over time.

There are a few biological principles at work here that allows your body to utilize the sweet potato more effectively than the white potato, but "Eat This, NOT That 101" is not about boring you with tons of science. We have created this course to be informative on a basic nutritional level. It offers very useful nutritional knowledge that seem uncommon to most. The information provided is in direct response to the various questions we get from our clients on a regular basis about their food habits and how to change them on a practical level.
