Training Overview

Fitness for Kids Class

Are you ready to introduce your child to having fun while exercising in a safe and exciting environment?

In a 45 minute class we will instruct them in an exercise program that includes a circuit style format with some stretching and flexibility as well. An Addie's Studio personal trainer will show them how to use the ropes, medicine ball, trampolines and more while having a great time working out with kids their age.

The goal is to have your child enjoy exercise, build it into a habit, and feel stronger and fitter. The goal for you is to take them off of your hands for a little while and get them to exert some of that endless energy we all know they have!

Don't worry, if you would like a class like this for yourself, we have that too.

Check our class descriptions and schedules online at www.addiesstudio.com.

Addie's Studio has had a strong and longstanding relationship with the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. They have utilized our MS fitness program to help hundreds of MS clients improve their quality of life. Addie's Studio has a custom-tailored MS exercise program that helps with balance and flexibility as well as strengthens the muscles.

As stated in many medical journals "Multiple sclerosis or MS is a disease that affects the brain and spinal cord resulting in loss of muscle control, vision, balance, and sensation (such as numbness). With MS, the nerves of the brain and spinal cord are damaged by one's own immune system. Thus, the condition is called an autoimmune disease."

Addie or her staff of certified and experienced personal trainers will start with a fitness assessment and then build the correct program that best suites you based on the physical challenges you endure.

It is stated that no one is sure what causes the body's immune system to go awry in multiple sclerosis. Some scientists believe that it is a combination of genetics and something in the environment to which the person was exposed to early in life. Working out is just one avenue of treatment that seems to help alleviate the symptoms of MS.

The MS specific program is 6 week program that you attend bi-weekly. Improving your body's coordination and uniformity of overall function has been shown to improve steadily through regular and specific exercise. After the initial 6 weeks we will alter the program to keep challenging your body and to promote progress to avoid any plateaus and hopefully increase self confidence.

We also have a MS specific yoga class that is funded by the National MS Society on Sunday's at 10am for 60 minutes. Call for more info. This class is for clients with MS only. The co- pay is $5 per class.
